LA Times

Kenney Marlatt, manning the SND International Web Desk at the SND contest judging in Syracuse, spotted a huge entry from the LA Times and recorded it on video, complete with the perfect musical counterpoint.

Heads up: After you hit "post" things may be slow and you may get an error. Most likely, your comment did post. Apologies. I'm looking for a fix.

I'm damn proud to say that young man works for me and my newspaper. Out-STANDING effort.
And Mark, you nailed the overline as well ...

I didn't see anything, just got the music. Can someone e-mail me or post a shot of the entry?

At the end, I was hoping the camera would "fly" down the center of the entry like the Death Star run at the end of "A New Hope."

It's hard to top a video like that, but Mark -- you did it with the oh-so-clever Star Wars subtlety in the headline. Way to make the geek community proud, both of you!

So if the LA Times is the empire, who is Darth Vader? Joe Hutchinson? Michael Whitley?

Since the NY Times beat them in the total medal count, does that make them rebel scum?

Just asking?

I've always sort of thought of Michael as Luke Skywalker anyway... But that begs an interesting questions: What does that make Gaspard? Would that make him Anakin/Darth? Methinks. And heck, I have to go with Joe as Yoda -- the wise, calm, all-knowing voice. Hands down.
