SND.org Gets a New Editor

11:00 PM, January 3, 2006

It's good to see the Society for News Design getting its web act together. And to that end they've named Rich Boudet as the editor of snd.org. Boudet's a sports designer at The News Tribune in Tacoma and the proprieter of SportsDesigner.com. SND publications honcho Matt Mansfield says:

Rich will join the team here at the good old worldwide SND immediately, helping ramp up our recently redesigned site. Rich will be working closely with me and [SND Executive Director] Elise [Burroughs] on developing the site as we move into 2006.

You will first see Rich as part of the team covering the Best of Newspaper Design Creative Competition from Syracuse in February. We'll get you more details on that after the competition entry deadline closes.

Heads up: After you hit "post" things may be slow and you may get an error. Most likely, your comment did post. Apologies. I'm looking for a fix.

This is great news for the Society, its members, and the industry in general. This will also likely cause us all to spend even *more* time keeping up with an increasing number of quality design sites (tipping my hat to this one too). Congrats to Rich as well -- he will be a great addition to the SND publications group.

What they said ...

Seriously, kudos to Rich for taking on the task. I know the SND site will be better for it.
