Montgomery Tees Off on a New Course

3:42 PM, November 3, 2005

Robb Montgomery, news design editor of the Chicago Sun-Times, creator of VisualEditors.com and a friend of this site, is leaving the Sun-Times to ply the waters of consultancy, web mogul-dom and the 10 a.m. tee-time. Three cheers!

Heads up: After you hit "post" things may be slow and you may get an error. Most likely, your comment did post. Apologies. I'm looking for a fix.

Well, good luck Robb!

Thanks, Mark.

Funny, golf was the last thing is the last thing on my mind right now. But maybe I should get a quick round in before I dive into The Examiner.

Golf keeps me very humble. And humbled I am when I consider how lucky I suddenly find myself able to walk away from the most perfect job I've ever had.

I'll be working with The Examiner for the next few months and after that . . . well . . . that's the scary part!

Congratulations, Robb! I just made a similar decision to walk away from my current incarnation and chart a new course. It's a great feeling, eh? Best of luck!
